Season 1999-2000

My First Away Match (Sort Of) 17th July 1999 It was a pleasant Saturday afternoon, Chelsea were playing in a pre-season friendly in Birmingham, and the kids were bored. How could I pass up the chance? As match reports go, it's not much. But here it is anyway.

Gillingham's Big Day Out 15th February 2000 Out of the blue, I received an e-mail from a reporter in Kent, asking me if I could help him with his research. Patrick Fletcher (of the Kent Messenger Group Newspapers) was planning to write an article about Gillingham's forthcoming FA Cup Quarter-Final encounter with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. He wanted help in compiling a list of Chelsea's "celebrity fans", so that he could use the list to highlight the difference in standing between the two clubs and their supporters. Here is the result.
