Welcome to my Chelsea site. This is my personal homage to the football
club that I have supported, through thick and thin, since 1967. I hope
you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed putting it together.
Remember that this is a site maintained by a fanatic; it's not
a professional site, and I'm doing it all in my spare time. It may not
be as flashy as some sites you'll find on the Web, but it is my aim to
make it informative, easy to navigate, and pleasing to the eye.
Please feel free to comment on anything you find on this site. If you'd
like to suggest how I can make improvements, or if you'd like to help me
out by making your own contribution to my site, just
mail me,
and I'll see what I can do. I particularly like to hear from fellow Chelsea fans.
The Boring Disclaimer Bit:
There is absolutely no connection between this site and Chelsea Football
Club, so please don't make the mistake of assuming that the opinions
expressed here have been sanctioned by anybody but me.

Commercial Partnerships with this Website
This website is a not-for-profit endeavour, so I do not enter into any
partnerships with commercial websites. Please bear this in mind if you
are considering sending me an e-mail me offering such a partnership, as
it is my policy not to answer such e-mails.
That having been said, I will happily add links to commercial websites
that I think Chelsea fans might find interesting or useful. All I want
in return for such an "advert" is a reciprocal link.

Spammers
If you are thinking of filling my guestbook with advertisements for
your dodgy websites selling dodgy medications or porn or anything else
like that, then forget it. You and your type are the scum of the Earth.
You're nothing short of thieving bast*rds, because you're using my
website to host your advertising.

Removal of fixtures from this site
On 28th October 2004, I was contacted by an organisation that
claims to be responsible for protecting the intellectual property
rights of the Football Data Co Limited. Apparently, I was
committing the heinous crime of publishing football fixture lists,
and, as a result, was stealing the intellectual property of
the Football Data Co Limited. Quite how the Football
Data Co Limited can claim intellectual property rights over a
football fixture list is beyond me, but, not wanting to be taken
to a court of law and subsequently fined several thousands of
pounds when I (inevitably) lose the case, I have decided to do as
I have been asked, and remove all lists of future fixtures
from my website. I am allowed to list the results of played
matches, but not to list any future fixtures at all. So, if you
want to know who Chelsea are playing next, and where and when,
you won't be able to find out from this website any more.

This website has been carefully designed for viewing with both Microsoft
Internet Explorer (MSIE) and Netscape web browsers. Both of these browsers
should give you much the same view of the website, all things being equal.
In addition, you won't have to download the latest and greatest versions
of these browsers to view any of the pages; Version 4 of each browser is
the minimum requirement (see footnote below).
As a result, on this website you won't see overblown dynamic content like
Flash animations, Java, and so on. Nor will you see content that crashes
one or other of the browsers, at least, not intentionally. I want this site
to be accessible and readable by the average person on the average PC, using
the browser of his or her choice.
Having said that, I am using Cascading Style Sheets, Javascript and
AJAX (a dynamic content technology that works well on every browser).
Even so, I am restricting the use of these to tried, tested and trusted
features that should cause you no grief whatever.
